WorkSafeBC, Prevention Officer
Session Synopsis: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly - Subcontractor Management and the Role of the Prime
The session I am presenting will provide a brief overview of the responsibility of the prime contractor while speaking to the systems and processes for managing sub-contractors. I will describe what I have observed as a Prevention Officer as the good, bad and the ugly of the management systems observed from the various prime contractors I have engaged. The presentation will then expand on the diligent and comprehensive systems and processes that once established aid in managing contractors at these multiple employer sites. Lastly I will highlight the preventative measures for ensuring compliance when managing high risk work.
